Mechanical Assembler - Temp-to-Hire

Pay: Up to $26.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable Mechanical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for assembling water treatment systems of various sizes and capacities according to standard Bills of Materials (BOMs) and assembly specifications. The ideal candidate will have prior assembly experience, be comfortable using hand tools, and possess the ability to follow directions and work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble water treatment systems of various sizes and capacities according to BOMs and work instructions.
  • Use hand tools to install and tighten bolts, screws, fittings, and other hardware required for assembly.
  • Inspect components and completed assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Package finished systems according to customer and company specifications.
  • Build crates and utilize foam packaging equipment and materials to prepare products for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and production requirements.
  • Communicate any assembly, material, or quality concerns to supervisors.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Experience using hand tools in an assembly setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience assembling industrial equipment, filtration systems, plumbing systems, or water treatment equipment.
  • Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Experience with crating, packaging, and shipping preparation.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as needed.
  • Manual dexterity to safely and effectively use hand tools and assembly equipment.
